This blog is written by a seasoned user of the health care system: someone who has experienced (in no particular order) a pregnancy, a lumpectomy, a mastectomy, radiation, outpatient chemotherapy, an overnight sleep study, no broken bones, crutches and Cytoxan, Valium and Versed, one colonoscopy, stacks of mammograms and chest X-rays, a LEEP, one DEXA scan, bone scans, support groups, a week at a health spa and a “Port-O-Cath”.  ( I had to get the Port for the chemo or my friend said she would have to kill me.)

Luckily, I have been eligible for several research studies over the years.

I give blood for research, but not for charity.

This blog will also contain my [frequent] ideas for process improvement. (please chime in with yours too).
