Saw Rep Alan Grayson (D-FL) this afternoon at the mike. He was wearing a tie with red and white stripes-very flaggy looking. The R’s are all wearing the same button-but I can’t tell what it is. Doesn’t appear to be a flag pin-maybe it says “Just Say No” and we should thank them for recycling pins from the Reagan administration.
Women are wearing skirted suits today, some in royal blue (fab color for TV, I have been told). The Speaker wore a pale lavender jacket and a chunky necklace.
